In under a year start-to-finish our team read the creative DNA of the cutting-edge ad shop and went on to conceive and craft a first-ever NYC base for the LA-headquartered ad agency. The vibe of refined warmth and authenticity befits the Brooklyn location but steers clear of pinball-machine clichés about startup workspaces. Responding to the client’s intuition of the importance of social spaces, our team created a broad bleacherlike stair that basks in the light and links the two levels. Downstairs is conceived as a cave-like riposte to the airiness above. The yin/yang possibilities of a work environment with a home-like energy encouraged a mix of working modes: nooks and crannies range from living spaces (including a fireplace and a kitchen with coffee but also wine and beer on tap) to high tops and low tops, and just one office with a door - shared by five leaders at one desk.
